This is our living room looking up at the ceiling. We wanted to share pictures so you could see the colors we chose for the house. On the walls is a light green and the ceiling is a dark green. The french doors lead out onto the back porch for a view of the lake.
Here is Jeff ready to greet our guests! Well, not really since he is decked out in his work clothes! This is a view of the foyer area from the front door. You can see through the fireplace.

This is the master bedroom wall color. It was an Olympic historic preservation color called 'Cincinnatian Hotel Carl Tan.'

The bathroom is a slightly darker shade of brown.

As you can see we chose to use a lot of color in the house. The red room is the dining room. The green is the hallway and the living room color. The yellow is Jeff's office.

This picture was taken from the back proch looking in at the living room. The chimney goes all the way up to the ceiling. The mason will be starting the rock work soon. The front door is located on the other side of the fireplace. The fireplace will be see through from both sides.

Here is a picture of the living room taken from the loft area. The floors were stained and had the first coat of poly this week. You can see we chose a light sage green color for the walls. On the ceiling we used a darker thyme green. We are so pleased with the end result of the colors. The darker green really brings the ceiling down to make the room feel cozy.

Here is a close-up of the siding on one of the dormers upstairs. This particular dormer is part of the honeymoon suite which will feature a mahogany four post bed, whirlpool tub, fireplace and an oversized private balcony.
All of our suites will be based on a different type of wood. We will start out with The Pine Suite and The Walnut Suite. The Walnut Suite will have a view of the lake and an antique cast iron soaking tub.
In the future when the final three rooms are complete, they will be The Mahogany Honeymoon Suite, The Oak Suite and The Bamboo Suite. Each will have access to the porch or private balconies.
Some of you have been aking about the siding on the house. We are using cedar shake siding. We purchased the cedar from a mill up north. The shakes are not stained so we have to do that ourselves. Each one is individually dipped in a bucket of stain, the excess is wiped off and then hung up on clothesline to dry. This is a shot of them hanging up in the basement. It is a very long process but it is worth it to us because it saved us a lot of money doing it ourselves. The end result is beautiful.

This is the front of the house. The siding is not complete. We are still working on that...in our spare time! We have been doing a lot of work inside the house so that we can get an occupancy permit. We will finish up the siding once we have moved in. We are hoping that will be in just a few weeks!

The apartment is located above the garage and the part of the house with the porch is the Bed and Breakfast and our living space.

Each guest room will have doors that lead out on to the porch to their own private table for breakfast.

This is a photo of the back of the house taken from the lake. As you can see the siding is not finished yet. This is one of our favorite pictures of the house.

Here is the finished dock. We have since added copper solar lights to the top of each post and, of course, a boat in the water!

Jeff and our friend Jacob get started on building our boat dock. The water level was really low at this time so it made the contruction process a lot easier.

This picture was taken from the lake looking up at the lot where the house will be built.

Here is another photo of our proerty after clearing. You can see our driveway in the background winding through the trees.

Here is a picture of the lake view from our house. We have cleared away some of the trees since this was taken. This was before constuction on the house started and the property had just been cleared.
Hello everyone! We have finally set up a blog for you to see pictures of our Bed and Breakfast. Things are moving along and we hope to be moving in a couple of weeks. We are planning to have our grand opening in September. The Autumn Inn opens in Autumn! Hope to see you there!
