Some of you have been aking about the siding on the house. We are using cedar shake siding. We purchased the cedar from a mill up north. The shakes are not stained so we have to do that ourselves. Each one is individually dipped in a bucket of stain, the excess is wiped off and then hung up on clothesline to dry. This is a shot of them hanging up in the basement. It is a very long process but it is worth it to us because it saved us a lot of money doing it ourselves. The end result is beautiful.Monday, March 23, 2009
